You Asked, We Answered
Where are the Bathrooms?
City Pods are intended to be used in a community setting, similar to a hostel. Excluding a bathroom decreases unit costs and also allows cities to efficiently place restrooms in a central location. Bathroom pods are readily available by a number of great companies across the U.S.
Do City Pods impact the environment?
Utilizing products from state-of-the-art companies, City Pods are constructed primarily of recyclable plastic, wood, and metal. At the end of its useful lifespan, we can easily recycle many components and reuse the aluminum framing in new City Pods.
Are heating/air conditioning units included?
City Pods are designed to be assembled in an existing building with adequate heating and air conditioning. The building that houses City Pods should maintain a comfortable temperature.
Do City Pods protect against COVID?
City Pods provide the separation needed to combat COVID-19 without losing emergency shelter density. Each City Pod also includes two HEPA air filters, one connected to in-flowing air and one out-flowing. HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air)Â is a designation used to describe filters that are able to trap 99.97 percent of particles that are 0.3 microns.
Should guests worry about toxic fumes?
City Pods does not use any product that emits toxic fumes, like MDF. Those products are popular because they are cheap, easy to cut, and simple to paint. City Pods are meant to last.
Can Pods be customized?
